Activities at Archview Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Archview Lodge Care Home
Chess
We have a pupil Lewis volunteering from Dalkeith High School doing his Duke of Edinburgh. Lewis will be coming in every Friday to play chess. Lewis and Oliver enjoyed playing Chess. Oliver won the first game that they played.
Drama at Archview
Mary our activity organiser wrote a play out for staff and residents to take part in. fun and laughter all around. Our residents said what a good idea and they enjoy it once a week.
Crufts at Archview
Here at Archview we held our very own Crufts. Staff members Diane, Hollie and Laura brought their dogs in for the residents to pet. The residents really enjoyed seeing the different dogs. We told the residents about our dogs what breed they are and how old.
