Activities at Bere Grove Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Hollie Wren
Hi, I'm Hollie. I have worked in healthcare for six years taking on a variety of roles. I am so proud to be heading up the activity team and supporting our residents with a life-enriching programme of events. I am highly motivated and love sharing my creative and imaginative side with everyone. I truly believe age is just a number and there is nothing we cannot achieve if we work together.
I like to create a person-centred activity programme so each resident gets the opportunity to enjoy what they love. This is their time to relax, enjoy and have fun.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Bere Grove Care Home
Bird Box Painting
This week at Bere Grove our residents decorated their own bird boxes. Then Paul, with direction from Mavis, hung them outside.
The colours used were so vibrant and welcoming and we hope they attract a variety of birds. We really enjoy using our creative skills and we are looking forward to the next project.
Sunny Lunch Date
This week, a few of our residents wanted to go out for lunch at Oh So's Coffee shop Horndean so that is exactly what we did!
The sun was shining, the food was delicious and the company was great. We cant wait to do it again soon.
Knit and Natter with a special guest!
Our knit and natter community group had a few new members join us this morning, Its the taking part that counts and he had a bundle of fun! and a bundle of wool!
Anyone is welcome to join us every other Monday morning to our Community Knit and Natter group.
Visit to the Waterlooville Men's Shed
This morning our Home Services Advisor, Megan, popped down to the Waterlooville Men's Shed to say hello and drop of some sweet treats. They are currently making us a donation box to put in Bere Grove so she was able to sneak a peak at the progress of this!
Of course Megan couldn't leave before having a cuppa and getting to know some of shedders. Sounds like a Friday morning well spent!
Easter at Bere Grove
Our residents went for a morning stroll to the nearby church for their Easter Service. Our talented chef prepared a delicious feast for all to enjoy with roasted lamb and tasty cinnamon crumble! Then our residents received a special treat from Bere Groves Easter bunny.
As always, we’ve had an amazing time and we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came and spent the afternoon with us on Saturday for our Easter Celebrations, it was a beautiful day with beautiful weather! We also raised an amazing £85 from the raffle to donate to Alzheimer's Society- Thank you again
