Activities at Bere Grove Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hollie Wren
Hi, I'm Hollie. I have worked in healthcare for six years taking on a variety of roles. I am so proud to be heading up the activity team and supporting our residents with a life-enriching programme of events. I am highly motivated and love sharing my creative and imaginative side with everyone. I truly believe age is just a number and there is nothing we cannot achieve if we work together.
I like to create a person-centred activity programme so each resident gets the opportunity to enjoy what they love. This is their time to relax, enjoy and have fun.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bere Grove Care Home

Playing the Organ
Having recently had this beautiful organ arrive at Bere Grove following one of our wonderful residents kind donation. Residents have been able to play the organ and showcase some wonderful skills and entertain their friends and family members

Portsmouth History Day out
Our residents enjoyed a sunny day down Portsmouth for our weekly minibus outing. We went down to the D-Day museum for a walk through of the Normandy Landings which was a great visual experience. Residents spoke to each other and members of the public about their experience during this time and where they would have been.

Afternoon Art Class
This week in our home art class we painted beautiful pink cottages with acrylic paint on canvas. Our lovely residents were all very pleased with their work and look forward to painting again in their next upcoming art class

Last Night At The Proms
Our residents had a brilliant Last Night of the Proms concert with the Blendworth Brass Band at the Blendworth Church Centre.
Residents and staff were singing along to celebrate British tradition in honour of the annual concert that marks the end of the BBC Proms series, a two-month-long classical music festival in London.

Macmillan Coffee Morning
In recognition of Macmillan’s coffee morning, we hosted our own coffee morning bake sale for friends, families and community members to raise funds for the charity!
Our Bistro was specially decorated for the occasion, our talented kitchen team and staff brought and prepared a variety of delicious cakes for everyone to enjoy.
We had fun and games and a wonderful time raising funds for this lovely cause.
