Activities at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Our dedicated activities team are constantly dreaming up new and wonderful ways to support and stimulate the residents we look after. From trips to crafts, parties to skittles, musical performances and quizzes, we include something for everyone and pride ourselves on including everyone into the fun. We have a brilliant team of volunteers who help us to deliver more trips, support us at events and pop in for a cup of tea and chat. We have pet therapy at least once per week (sometimes twice!) and we take advantage of every school break by holding large scale events that we can invite families with children to. We have been developing ties with our neighbours since we first opened and thanks to this, we have successfully brought together our residents with local churches, choirs, Brownies groups, and schools. Whatever your interests are, here at Braeburn, there's something for everyone.

Life at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Brownies Return to Braeburn
We once again welcomed the local Brownie pack from Deeping St James to Braeburn Lodge.
They entertained us and sang their hearts out before serving residents tea, coffee and biscuits, which helped them to work towards their hostess badges.
They spent time sitting and talking to the residents about their schools and hobbies.
We look forward to welcoming them back to Braeburn soon.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
We had a busy morning at Braeburn Lodge with lots of visitors raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Lots of homemade cakes were made by our fantastic kitchen team, from spiced carrot cake to Oreo cake. Tea and coffee was prepared and drank by families and residents in copious amounts as well.
Pets as Therapy
Jemima the little fluff ball made her weekly visit to Braeburn Lodge for cuddles and smiles.
Jem has been visiting us for some time now at Braeburn Lodge and loves to snuggle with the residents on their beds and enjoys a walk around the garden with them.
She'll do anything for a cheeky bit of cake too!
Ladies Day Out
The residents at Braeburn Lodge had a lovely drive around the local villages on our minibus visiting places where we used to live and work. Memories of the old days were enjoyed by all.
It’s so lovely getting away from the main roads in the countryside. We headed to the Inside Out coffee shop for delicious cappuccinos and cakes – just enough as not to spoil our lunch!
Dignitaries Evening
We welcomed professionals from the local authorities who we closely work with. It was lovely to see so many familiar faces and be given the opportunity to provide them with a tour of our beautiful home, enabling then first hand to see what we have to offer.
Coffee, Cake & Singalongs
Residents at Braeburn Lodge had a great afternoon in our minibus singing along to their favourite songs whilst driving through the countryside. We stopped off for coffee, cake and a chat that turned into a singalong in the café as well. It’s always good to entertain the locals!
We will not be forgotten and are already planning the next visit.
