Activities at Bryn Ivor Lodge Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Anna Przybylska
Hello, my name is Anna and I am the Lead Activities Co-ordinator in Bryn Ivor Lodge.
I have a degree In Tourism & Hotel Management, with specialisation in Organising Events & Activities’. I have also finished several courses and training to be able to deliver excellent activities that would work best in care settings.
I have begun my career as Activities Co-ordinator over 15 years ago and gained really good experience working in various care settings.
I am very compassionate about my job and I take great pleasure in helping others and seeing people happy. My main priority is to provide activities tailored to the needs of our Residents. I always make sure all our Residents feel included and interested in the activities our home provides. Nothing is too much trouble for me and I hope our Residents and their family and friends will spend many memorable moments enjoying the activities and events we provide.

Life at Bryn Ivor Lodge Care Home
Pony Surprise
Today we had a little surprise on one of our regular walks. We saw a pony at the gate, he was so friendly and came straight over to greet us. Our Activities team organise a range of physical exercise and mobility activities to ensure that the residents are as fit and healthy as possible.
Puppy Therapy
Five month old German Shepard, Riley stole the hearts of residents and staff alike this week.
Riley visited Bryn Ivor and met every single resident in her quest to become our new favourite visitor! Animal therapy is proven to have extensive beneficial effects for older people and we ensure that our residents regularly experience a range of animal therapies.
Flower Arranging Class
This week we have been making the most of the sunny weather to do some pottering in the garden. We also had a visit from local flower farm owner, Julia who provided a flower arranging class and shared some interesting facts about wild flowers.
We love making the most of our outdoor spaces and we encourage our residents to own the gardens themselves as much as possible. Gardening classes and presentations are key parts of our life enrichment programme.
