Activities at Burwood Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Burwood Grange Care Home

Weybridge Men's Shed

We would like to say a BIG thank you to The Weybridge Men's Shed for having us at the shed yesterday.

We were invited to give a small talk over tea and cake about Burwood Grange and we discussed all the ways in which the home and the shed can work together.

Everyone was so welcoming and the shed is truly a fantastic place, we can't wait to bring some residents along!

Burwood Bunny Hunt

Here at Burwood Grange we hosted a Bunny Hunt in the garden this Easter weekend. We opened our doors to the local community and didn't let the rain stop us.

Our residents took part in many other Easter activities including taking some time to reflect on why we celebrate Easter and the meaning behind it.

The Minibus has arrived

We are absolutely delighted by the delivery of our minibus this week. We feel very privileged to be able to offer this to our residents and it supports us to bring more variety and freedom to their lives.

We are very much looking forward to getting out and about locally and venturing further afield. Our residents have lots of places they wish to visit, so the fun starts now!

Photos & Reminiscing

Who doesn't like looking through old photo albums? Here at Burwood Grange two of our residents Pat and Chris spent some time sharing old photos and memories with each other.

They took time to reflect on their fondest memories and it was great to see them delve into the past and get to know each other better. It was also great for us as a team to learn wonderful things about both of their pasts.

Afternoon of Games!

An afternoon of fun was in full swing yesterday with our residents and team coming together to show off their gaming skills!

We were particularly impressed by the level of concentration and the steady hand that went in to the game of Jenga.

It is wonderful to see everyone bonding over some healthy competition!

VIP Official Opening!

We had the most amazing time celebrating at our VIP event as we opened our doors in style, with a Grand Opening performed by the Mayor of Elmbridge, Richard Williams, in front of invited guests from the local community.

Our Chief People Officer, Genevieve Glover, and General Manager, Dacre Lassauniere, hosted the event and invited guests to view our beautiful new 64 bed care home, along with our impressive multi-levelled landscaped gardens. The home has been designed with residents’ comfort in mind and our dedicated and passionate team here at Burwood Grange offer residential support, respite stays and specialised dementia care.

General Manager, Dacre Lassauniere, commented: “We are delighted our home is now open, our residents are at the heart of everything we do at Burwood Grange, and we look forward to welcoming them and their families, and becoming an intrinsic part of the local community.

“We take pride in really getting to know each of our residents to provide tailored care and support, ensuring dignity and choice in every aspect of daily life.”

Thank you everyone who came along to celebrate with us!
