Activities at Burwood Grange Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Burwood Grange Care Home

Tea with Teddy the Pony
This weeks mini bus outing was to a riding school to meet Teddy the pony and his friends at a riding school in Epsom.
The Residents had a lovely afternoon tea then a tour of the stables

Sing a Long Morning at Burwood Grange
A lovely start to the day is having a singalong together with a pre-lunch sherry
Our residents were in fine voice.

Autumn Apple Pie Making
With Autumn fast approaching the residents asked if they could bake some cinnamon apple pies. Everyone had a job to do grating and peeling apples or making the pastry. The smell in the kitchen was wonderful and afterwards the pie was enjoyed with a cup of tea and a quiz.

Charity Quiz and Curry Night
What a wonderful evening we had on our Quiz and Curry evening to raise money for Barchester's Charitable Foundation.
With delicious curries and condiments made by our own Chefs we then started the Quiz. There were 5 different categories from general knowledge to Famous Faces and prizes for our winners, runners up and the best team name.
Would like to thank all our lovely staff, residents and community groups for supporting our charity.

Dementia Forum and Cheese and Wine Evening
We were delighted to welcome Donna and Dee a Dementia Ambassador from Acacia Domiciliary Care to our Dementia Forum. A big thank you to them both.
Families were able to ask questions around the subject of Dementia and to talk to one another about their loved ones.
It was a lovely evening with a delicious cheeseboard with biscuits and wine to enjoy.

Walking On Sunshine
At Burwood Grange, we have been out and about this week from Walton On Thames Marina to the woodlands around Whiteley Village.
Residents have been enjoying the sun and enjoying the fresh air with their friends.
