Activities at Cepen Lodge Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Catwalk event at Cepen Lodge!

Fashion week came to Cepen Lodge with our very own catwalk of colours this week! Residents and staff embraced the opportunity to dress up for the occasion and great fun showing off in their favourite outfits. An extra special thank you to the night staff at for their brilliant balloon display prepared for the event.

Shrove Tuesday Supper!

Our residents love pancake day so we always have lots of fun! Its all about having your favourite so no surprise toppings requested included lemon and sugar, chocolate, fresh strawberries and cream. We were a little taken aback by one resident requesting GRAVY however the chef was happy to oblige

Chinese New Year Celebrations!

Residents really enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year with 2021 being the year of the Ox. We especially liked learning which Chinese zodiac animal sign there are and the Chinese food was a big hit, really impressed with the residents who got into the spirit of the day with their Chopsticks!

We also made some lovely Chinese Dragon pictures. Lucky red envelopes were given out to staff and residents so hopefully it will bring everyone at Cepen Lodge lots of good fortune and happiness in 2021 and beyond

Valentines Raffle!

We are raising money for the Rise Trust to buy books for their children and gift on National Book giving Day in March so we decided to have a Valentine's raffle for the staff with lots of lovely prizes to be won.

BIG thank you to Morrisons for donating to our raffle prizes, we really appreciate your support for this worthy local charity. Here's to lots of money being raised!

Eileen's 90th Birthday Party!

Our resident really enjoyed her special birthday, she had lots of cards and lovely flowers sent! She enjoyed a visit in our visiting suite from her family and a Skype call from her grandchildren. The party was lovely and she was able to celebrate the day with her Cepen Lodge family. We had a buffet, music, dancing and a glass of fizz with lots of laughter. Here's to the next milestone birthday.
