Activities at Chalfont Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Chalfont Lodge is a large care home and we have a diverse range of groups and events to ensure that everyone feels welcome and included. In the Lifestyle team we work hard to create a sense of community and ensure there is always someone to talk to and something to do.
Our residents help us to plan the monthly lifestyle programme, making sure that everyone has something they like, enabling people to keep up with life long hobbies or pick up new ones. We have long term projects like our summer parties, car shows, BBQs, craft fairs, Christmas shows to mention a few and residents can be as involved as they would like in all stages of the planning or just come along and enjoy on the day.
We love going out on trips, to lunch, shopping or to socialise with other local groups, we also have many people who come into visit us with church services, music, talks and support for our bigger events.
We have a fantastic team of staff and every department is involved in making sure our residents get the most out of living here. We have a brilliant music therapist who works her magic 3 days a week, running group and individual sessions. Our Physiotherapy team keep everyone fit and active, working with us to make sure everyone has access to sports and team games.
We have a full programme groups, events and clubs but none of it would be possible without our residents and their families, we all work together to make this a home from home and to keep laughter and friendship at the heart of what we do.

Having recently joined Chalfont Lodge as part of the activities team, I have lots of experience working in the care sector.
Both Anna and I enjoy working with such a great team and nothing makes us happier than to bring joy and laughter to our residents' daily lives.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Live Music
Geoff the fantastic musician came into Chalfont Lodge today! Our lovely residents definitely want him to come back! Songs that we all remember are just the tonic for rainy days! Raj Boodhoo Manager of Chalfont Lodge said “Our residents love music and it’s great when there is a Friday singalong followed by a home cooked fish and chips lunch!”
Housekeeping Week
Here at Chalfont Lodge we have been celebrating our fantastic housekeeping team for National Housekeeper Week! A big thank you to our amazing housekeeping team for all your hard work and dedication. You keep everything running smoothly, and we appreciate everything you do! Let's celebrate this week and show our gratitude!
Back to School
As the school year starts soon, our residents have been busy preparing some special messages for our local schoolchildren. They’ve shared their most inspirational and motivating words of wisdom to help the children kick off the term with a smile. Check out the photos we’ve taken of their advice! A big thank you to everyone involved and a special shout out to our team for pulling it all together.
Family Time
Here at Chalfont Lodge our relatives have been enjoying the sunshine in our beautiful grounds. Visitors are welcome into our home at any time and we are always busy welcoming loved ones in to see their relatives. When visiting you are welcome to use the communal areas, gardens and grounds or take your loved one out for the day.
Fossil Workshop
We are very fortunate here at Chalfont Lodge - we have regular visits from Barry and his fossils! Today Barry spoke to our wonderful residents about Volcanoes and showed us some volcanic rock - which residents handled. Barry is all things on rocks and fossils. Dinosaurs are his speciality. An enthralling morning was had by all!
Summer BBQ
We all had a fantastic time at Chalfont Lodges annual Summer BBQ! Residents, staff, loved ones and members of the community joined us to enjoy the sunshine and a day of fun. Everyone enjoyed all the delicious burgers, hot dogs and sweet treats all made by our talented Head Chef Zibby and all of his team. Throughout the day we’ve had a fantastic musical show by Laura Jayne where everybody sang along to famous tunes.
