Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

I joined Barchester in November 2016 as an senior care assistant and in May 2024 I became the Activity Lead at Chorleywood Beaumont.

It is a joy to work with such a great team and nothing makes me happier to bring joy and laughter into our residents daily lives.

Bonfire Night

Residents and staff were overjoyed with this year’s Bonfire Night. Things were a little bit different this year, however, we were thrilled to have the community joining in on our Facebook page to watch our lovely firework display.

Halloween Weekend

Our Halloween pumpkin competition at Chorleywood was spooktacular. We created some pumpkin masterpieces to display in the home. Continuing the Halloween theme we make a spider cake along with some creepy cupcakes. Our competition is open to the community as well. To be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes share your pumpkin creations

Great Brittish Care Awards

More exciting new here at Chorleywood, our fantastic team was nominated for Team of the year in the Great British Care Awards. Our Head Chef Callum was also Nominated for Chef of the year. Today we had our virtual interview with the judges.

Mission Employable

Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home recently entered Chorleywood’s first ‘virtual’ flower show organised this year by the new charity Mission Employable .We were delighted to find out they had won both Best upcycle and Best in show
