Activities at Corrina Lodge Care Home

We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Yoga comes to Corrina Lodge

We were joined by qualified yoga instructor Emma Baldwin this Thursday. Residents and some staff took time out of their day to enjoy the 40 minute session of seated yoga. Emma is a wonderful teacher and will be here every Thursday at 2pm. The sessions are open to our local community and all we would ask is that you bring evidence of a negative lateral flow test which has been done on the day. The initial taster session is free and then we would ask for a donation of £2 per session thereafter.Any donations made we will be giving to #thehopehub which is our chosen charity to support this year. Please call and speak to Sharon or Gina if you have any further questions and we will be happy to help

A really lovely Macmillan Coffee Morning

The Corrina Lodge Community enjoyed hosting a Macmillan Coffee morning recently. Head chef Kathleen baked some wonderful cakes. We raised £80 for this very worthwhile charity. Thank you to all who contributed

2nd Sandhurst Scout Group

Corrina Lodge welcomed the 2nd Sandhurst Scout Group to our home at the weekend. The scouts were absolutely amazing and worked incredibly hard, sanding and painting garden furniture, planting daffodils bulbs, jet washing the patio and lots more. The community event was even more special for resident Alf Shipman who was a dedicated Scout Master during his life. Alf very kindly presented the scouts with their well earned badges. . It was a really wonderful moment.

Camberley Canines - our first Dog Show

Staff and Residents really enjoyed meeting all the wonderful dogs and their humans at our the Corrina Dog show. We had some super friendly dogs entered on the day and our wonderful judge definitely had a difficult time choosing the winners. The residents gave her a helping hand though.

Stone Art

Our forthcoming visit from the Mayoress was the inspiration for some stone painting in our arts and crafts session this week. Our lady Mayoress is due to visit Corrina Lodge on 11th September for an afternoon tea with our residents and staff.  Some of our residents are busy making a gift for our fabulous Mayoress.

Emma Easy Entertainment

A huge thank you to the lovely Emma Baldwin who sang for us at Corrina Lodge in August. Emma sang a great selection of  songs and residents were all keen to know when we'd be seeing her again.  Sunshine, pimms and music. A perfect afternoon for all
