Activities at Corrina Lodge Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Life at Corrina Lodge Care Home
A Trip Back in Time
Entertainers, George and Ginger, treated residents and visitors at Corrina Lodge to a good old fashioned war time sing along. George and Ginger sang a selection of songs that got everyone singing along and tapping their toes. The afternoon was lovely and a great time was had by all! They will be back again in December with their Christmas show.
Ready. Set. Sail!
Residents enjoyed a ride in a specially adapted but that took them all on a leisurely cruise down the Thames. We had a full day out, which include a riverside picnic in Windsor. As we sailed past the Castle, we gave Her Majesty a royal wave – let's hope she was looking out of the window!
Teddy Bears' Picnic
The weather was glorious, the picnic was scrumptious and we listened to a local ukulele group play for us during our Teddy Bears' Picnic. The garden was full of residents, their friends and families –and all had the most delightful day! Everyone got into the spirit and bought along a teddy bear, which we then judged.
Best Teddy
When we held our Teddy Bears' Picnic, everyone got into the spirit and bought along a bear. One of the bears was 70 years old, alongside a few that weren't much younger. We had so many that they needed their own bench and a couple of chairs to sit on. It was absolutely wonderful! You are never too old to treasure a Teddy.
Strokes of Genius
Residents really enjoyed looking at some wonderful art work from a nearby school. They then chose their favourite and the children visited us for an award ceremony.
The Royal Wedding
Residents, friends, families and staff gathered in the lounge to watch the royal wedding. The atmosphere was wonderful; there were tears, laughter and smiles. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a sumptuous buffet and some wedding cake that was made by our Head Chef, along with a glass of sparkly to toast the newly weds.
