Activities at Corrina Lodge Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Sharon Rickman
Hi, my name is Sharon, and I'm part of the activities team here at Corrina Lodge and have worked here for over 20 years. I thoroughly enjoy my job and have achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Activities whilst working here. During my time here, I have met some truly amazing people and I feel privileged to work in a home with such a sense of community.

Life at Corrina Lodge Care Home
Welcome, Frank!
Corrina Lodge hosted a supper to introduce our new Chef, Frank Fatura to everyone. Frank made delicious homemade pizzas that everyone agreed tasted delicious. General Manager, Lydia Makuyana, welcomed Frank by presenting him with wine and chocolates too.
10 Years of Service
General Manager, Lydia Makuyana, presented our wonderful Senior Carer, Kitiya Knibbs, with flowers, chocolates and a gift voucher, for her Long Service Award of 10 years. Kitiya was presented with these at a special supper event and was accompanied by her proud family.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Our amazing Chef, Frank, made this for our Macmillan Coffee Morning!
The Tallest Sunflower
Residents decided to hold a 'tallest sunflower competition'. It was all great fun and, as Activities Coordinator, Mel, measured them, we waited with baited breath. The winner was James, with a massive height of 66 inches. Well done, James!
Milestones Museum
Residents were fascinated whilst looking around the Milestones Museum in Basingstoke and reflecting on the past. We all had a brilliant day out there and concluded the day with a great picnic.
River Cruise
Residents relaxed on a very special purpose-built boat for a leisurely cruise down the Thames, followed by a riverside picnic. It was a wonderful day trip.
