Activities at Corrina Lodge Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Sharon Rickman
Hi, my name is Sharon, and I'm part of the activities team here at Corrina Lodge and have worked here for over 20 years. I thoroughly enjoy my job and have achieved an NVQ Level 3 in Activities whilst working here. During my time here, I have met some truly amazing people and I feel privileged to work in a home with such a sense of community.

Life at Corrina Lodge Care Home
Long Service Award
Sharon Rickman has worked at Corrina Lodge for 20 years on the activities team. We held a party for Sharon to mark this amazing accomplishment. The party was attended by her colleagues, family members and residents. Everyone enjoyed champagne, nibbles and cake.
Sharon was presented with Barchester's unique 20 year gold badge, vouchers and flowers by General Manager, Lydia Makuyana. She said that she's learnt so much over the years from all the residents and that she feels she's grown with them.

Employee of the Month - July
Congratulations to Hostess, Gill Lovegrove, who was named July's Employee of the Month here at Corrina Lodge. The award was presented to an overwhelmed Gill by General Manager, Lydia Makuyana.
Art Competition
Residents at Corrina Lodge have enjoyed a good and long standing relationship with a local School. Most recently, residents spent a few days judging sports-themed art work, which the children had created. We invited all of them back for an awards ceremony and presented them with certificates and prizes.
Mocktails Afternoon
Residents enjoyed an afternoon listening to music and enjoying various ‘mocktails’ that we invented. They looked great and tasted lovely.
Quiz & Supper Evening
At Corrina Lodge, we never need an excuse to have a party. Our quiz nights are always well-attended by residents, their friends, loved ones and staff members.
Employee of the Month - June
Congratulations to Housekeeper, Sarah Wells, who was named as June's Employee of the Month here at Corrina Lodge. Well done, Sarah!
