Activities at Emily Jackson House Care Home
Our activities team continues to offer a wide range of activities to both mentally and physically stimulate our residents. Our activities include one to one shopping, group outings in our minibus, and regularly attending our local church and bowling club. We also enjoy the entertainment from the musicians who come and visit us as well as our PAT dog. We have a range of activities so residents with all abilities and talents can join in activities and social gatherings. We encourage families and volunteers to share the joy with us by taking part in our social events as well.

Life at Emily Jackson House Care Home
Talks with Nigel
Nigel paid us a visit yo give us a presentation about the Queen. This was concluded by playing the National Anthem, which the residents promptly stood proud for.
Minibus Trip to Notcutts Garden Centre
We had a great visit to Notcutts Garden Centre. Residents had a lovely time looking at all the beautiful scenery, and we finished the day with some tea and coffee in the cafe.
Fun and Games at Emily Jackson House
Residents enjoyed a games afternoon at our home recently, which also saw relatives visiting to join in with the fun and keep them company.
Zoolab visits Emily Jackson
The residents at Emily Jackson House enjoyed a recent visit from Zoolab, the residents took the opportunity to experience holding and touching some of the exotic animals such as a Madagascan hissing cockroach, giant millipede, bearded dragon, corn snake and a long haired guinea pig.
Pet Therapy with Rufus
We welcome well behaved pets at Emily Jackson House and enjoy weekly visits from the pat dog ‘Rufus’ who is very popular among all of the residents and staff.
Talks with Nigel
Talks with Nigel is a popular and interesting activity session that residents at Emily Jackson House enjoy, Nigel performs a presentation on a wide range of subjects including some of our favourites 50’s, 60’s and Christmas from around the world.
