Activities at Fairview House Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators create a weekly planner that consists of a variety of activities, which caters to all residents' needs as best as possible. The most popular activities are bingo, which we host twice a week, flower arranging and weekly visits from Vinnie our pet therapy dog. Residents also enjoy minibus trips in the nicer weather and we attend a concert every month. We are also involved in the Council Well-being Team, which keeps us up-to date with upcoming events within the community and provides interesting ideas for activities we can try in the home.
Throughout the year, we host various special events, including themed open days and summer and winter fetes that people in our local communities are welcome to join us for. We also have monthly church services with Rev. Ann from Danestone Congregational Church, which is open to loved ones as well.
Fairview House Activities Team
Chloe, Cecilia and Veronica make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Fairview House.
They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to the home and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Fairview House Care Home
Easter Bonnets
Residents really enjoyed decorating their own Easter bonnets for our Easter-themed 'Best Bonnet' competition.
Down Syndrome Awareness Day
Staff and residents at Fairvew participated in World Down Syndrome Awareness Day by wearing mismatched socks.
Pet Therapy
Residents enjoy spending time with our pet therapist, who visits regularly with his owner, Kelly.
Valentine's Day 2018
We celebrated Valentine's Day with a Mr. & Mrs. Morning Tea for our married couples who live in Fairview House.
Burns Night 2018
We celebrated Burns Night with our volunteer, Richard, who addressed the haggis for us.

Staff had lots of fun dressing up for our recent open day here at Fairview House.
