Activities at Field House Care Home
The Activities Coordinators here at Field House are always keen to learn about residents' interests and hobbies, tailoring meaningful activities to the likes and dislikes of those we support. Our mission is to ignite the past, appeal to current interests and embrace new ones, improving quality of life whilst stimulating the mind and senses. Activities are carried out via small groups or individually, supported by local volunteers. We have access to a range of local community facilities and nearby places of interest, prompting community engagement, and hold special events at the home, where we are entertained by guest vocalists and performers, with 'The Quiz Master' being a fan favourite.
Caroline Davis
Hi, I'm Caroline and I joined Field House in 2021 from another Barchester home. I have worked in care for the last 30 years and a big part of that has been with Barchester.
Here at Field House, I organise a variety of activities and social events within the home and in the community, such as gardening club arts and crafts, weekly exercise sessions along with live singers and musicians every month. We are also keen on regular outings to local landmarks, museums, cafes and shopping centres.
In my job, I'm able to develop excellent relationships with residents and their families providing the support they need. I am very passionate about my job role as it is very important to us as a team that every individual is able to live the life they wish and feel fulfilled in their everyday activities maintaining past hobbies and finding new ones.

Life at Field House Care Home
Christmas Fete
Residents, Staff, Family & Friends, along with the lovely local residents of Church Stretton, have all had the best time today as Field House opened it's doors for our Christmas Fete. Even Santa paid us a visit. The Residents and Children all loved getting presents from him.
Christmas Carols at Stretton Parish
The residents of Field House were invited to carols and tea at Stretton parish. They made us so welcome, we sang lovely carols and finished up with tea and a lovely selection of cakes.
Christmas Flower Arranging
The residents here at Field House have had a fantastic afternoon arranging flowers and making some beautiful Christmas centre-pieces.
Elf Day
Field House celebrated Elf day and raised £43 selling cakes for Alzheimer’s Society. We enjoyed a fun exercise group but naughty little elf was everywhere! Some of the ladies helped wrap presents for Santa’s grotto.
Baking Muffins
Baking is one of our favourite things to do here at Field House. Today we're making muffins and team work is always the best way. Our ladies have been working together and made some beautiful muffins! They were delicious!
A Visit to Our Local Community Centre
Some of our residents at Field House went out and about to support Mayfair community centre in Church Stretton. We enjoyed a coffee then wondered around the craft sale.
