Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Making (Radio) Waves...
We had the great pleasure of welcoming Mary from Winchester Radio who came by to interview our Activities team about the brilliant volunteering that happens here at Flowerdown.
Volunteers help with a lot of the work that goes on behind the scenes, without them it would become much more difficult to carry out.
We are so proud of all the team here at Flowerdown, but a special thanks to all volunteers in all sectors!
Resident Ambassador marks anniversary
We celebrated our resident ambassador this week, having been at Flowerdown for 4 years, being an integral part of our amazing resident community. We wanted to say thanks for the important role and gifted a beautiful bouquet of flowers and some delicious chocolates. Thank you to our wonderful resident ambassador!
Farm Shop fun
Our residents were out and about at the local farm shop, enjoying delicious local handmade biscuits, whilst of course accompanied by a lovely cup of tea. The sun was out, with not a cloud in the sky and a wonderful morning was had by all. The highlight being the piglets and calves enjoying basking in the sun - what a delight!
Mother’s day Celebrations at Flowerdown
Today we celebrated the wonderful women in our lives with our Flowerdown friends. We all enjoyed a social afternoon making paper flower bouquets. Residents choose to make daffodils as its coming up to spring.
Betty one of our Flowerdown friends expressed ‘I’m so glad we were able to make something so bright and beautiful to light up the room, especially with it being mother’s day too!’
Sandra commented ‘These flowers are beautiful and I’m happy to have helped make them!’
It was great to see everyone smiling and enjoying themselves.
Dining with our friends, enjoying a glass of red!
What a lovely lunch we enjoyed with our friends in our new dining room. It was wonderful to get together and share about our day so far over a lovely glass of red! Our residents really enjoyed the experience.
Our resident champion Suzy commented; ‘Having lunch with my Flowerdown friends brings me so much joy and it’s something I look forward to doing every day’.
Diana, one of our Flowerdown friends said ‘Spending lunch with others on a daily basis makes me happy!’
The Flowerdown Team
Flowerdown has an amazing team of staff, working around the clock to provide the best possible care to our residents. We often use the phrase "Teamwork makes the dream work" and it's true! There's nothing we can't achieve when we all work together!
As a big thank you, our amazing manager Claudia provided her fantastic team with a garden picnic, where everyone got to enjoy Pizzas and Ice Cream.
