Activities at Glebefields Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Creativity Unleashed
Unleash Your Creativity with Ribberty Rabbit's Simple Coloring Session!
We had a fantastic time at Glebefields Care Home as Emma from Ribberty Rabbit led us through a delightful session of simple coloring. Residents Stanley, Barry, Ivy, Cynthia, Edith, Helen, gathered together to explore the world of colors and let their imagination run wild.
Under Emma's guidance, we discovered the joy of filling blank pages with vibrant hues. The atmosphere was filled with tranquility as we immersed ourselves in the soothing strokes of our paints. It was a moment of pure relaxation and self-expression.
Enabling Life-enriching Care
It was all system go as the team at Glebefields went LIVE with their Enable support plans yesterday. Enable is a bespoke system which aligns with our wish to deliver the highest quality individual care and life enrichment.
Glebefields are the second home taking part in our important digital transformation pilot for our new eCare system, referred to internally as 'Enable'.
This new digital care system is part of our wider Life Enrichment strategy, and will bring many benefits for our teams, and our residents, and it will further modernise and improve our digital systems.
We'd like to thank the Enable project team for all their guidance and support in the successful roll out of this life enriching eCare system.
As the proud Glebefields team gathered together to enjoy the celebratory lunch prepared by the homes hospitality team. We were joined by Managing Director Angela Bradford, alongside Barchester's Director of Nursing, Julia Atherton who led the launch party with a personal message from our Chief Executive, Pete Calveley before cutting into the amazing ‘Enable’ cake!
'Enable' - Exemplary care in the palm of our hands.

Energised by Oomph!
We had an invigorating and fun-filled day at Glebefields Care Home as we joined forces with the amazing Stefan from Oomph Wellness for an exercise session. Residents and staff alike participated in a range of energising activities, designed to promote physical fitness and enhance overall well-being.
Stefan's infectious enthusiasm and expert guidance encouraged everyone to get moving, stretching, and grooving to the beat. Laughter filled the room as we stretched, and flexed our muscles, embracing the benefits of regular exercise.
At Glebefields Care Home, we prioritize the health and happiness of our residents, and events like these are a testament to our commitment.
Cultivating Beauty in Flower Boxes
Residents Christine, Sheila, and Cynthia, along with our dedicated staff, came together for a wonderful day of planting in pots. With their green thumbs and creative minds, they carefully selected an assortment of flowers, creating stunning arrangements that added a touch of beauty to our care home.
With meticulous care, they selected the perfect plants and arranged them in their chosen pots, creating miniature gardens bursting with life. Some opted for traditional combinations, while others embraced their creativity, choosing unique and rare blooms.
These potted gardens have become a source of pride and joy for our residents, as they watch their plantings thrive and bloom.
At Glebefields Care Home, we celebrate the individuality and creativity of our residents. The act of tending to their potted gardens provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment, enriching their lives in a meaningful way.
