Activities at Hagley Place Care Home

Activities plays a big part in the care we deliver to residents; activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Mandy Hayward

Activities Coordinator

I have a long background in the care industry and love to incorporate the outdoors in my activities. This role is very special as it allows me the time to get to know our residents and their families in a deeply personal way.

Life at Hagley Place Care Home

We Love Baking

Audrey and Anne really loved making our orange drizzle cake. Making cakes is so therapeutic; it takes our ladies back to what they used to love doing, and they taste good too!

Minibus Trips Are Back

What a joy to get out and about; we took 4 residents to Clee Hill for delicious fish and chips.

We Have Entertainment Back!

Residents and staff were in for an amazing treat as we had our loyal entertaining singer back with us on the 21st April to celebrate our Queen's birthday!

Doughnut Day

Residents suggested we have some tasty donuts for afternoon tea, so we did it, and they absolutely loved them. Sometimes the simple things make you smile and lick your lips.

Dominoes Day

Our lovely carers have been very busy enjoying dominoes with our residents. We used large dominoes to make it accessible to all and the residents really did enjoy it, as you can see by their big smiles.

Welcoming Back Visitors

What an amazing day it was having our families back in to visit. The joy was just off the scale! Brighter days are here at last.
