Activities at Hagley Place Care Home
Activities plays a big part in the care we deliver to residents; activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Mandy Hayward
I have a long background in the care industry and love to incorporate the outdoors in my activities. This role is very special as it allows me the time to get to know our residents and their families in a deeply personal way.

Life at Hagley Place Care Home
Garden Show
On Friday 7th August, residents and the team enjoyed a fun-filled day. We received planters from staff, residents, families and local businesses. The residents judged the entries and enjoyed a cocktail or two whilst basking in the sunshine!
Garden Show Preparations
Residents & ream members are getting ready for Hagley's Garden Show on the 7th August 2020. Residents have been busy creating art work, planting and pruning ready for the show.
We have contacted local businesses, who are also bringing entries to the show. Residents will have the opportunity to enjoy walking around the gardens to view the entries, followed by Pimm's and a hog roast.
Carers Week
We loved celebrating Carers Week at Hagley Place. The whole home enjoyed gift bags full of goodies arranged by Michelle Thomas, our Residential Manager. Cakes were also supplied, and very much enjoyed!
Miffy Turns 104
Congratulations to Miffy for reaching such a grand age! Still enjoying life to the full, Miffy very much enjoyed her day surrounded by her friends, enjoying a glass of champagne and afternoon tea in the garden.
Flower Therapy
Residents have been enjoying time basking in the beautiful sunshine, and got inspired to create some lovely art work to send to their families inspired by the garden.
VE Day Celebrations
At 11am, residents and team held a special VE Day memorial, graciously lead by Hagley’s veteran, Bill. Residents made personalised postcards to their friends and families, and we enjoyed a quiz and indulged in a beautiful cream tea supplied by our wonderful kitchen team.
