Activities at Hagley Place Care Home
Activities plays a big part in the care we deliver to residents; activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

I have a long background in the care industry and love to incorporate the outdoors in my activities. This role is very special as it allows me the time to get to know our residents and their families in a deeply personal way.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Hagley Place Care Home
Pudding Club
We've started a monthly pudding club to help us enjoy our residents pasts and their memories. Every month, we ask our residents to pick one of their favourite puddings and then we make them, taste them, and pick the best.
Each resident who has their pudding selected, writes the story behind it, letting us learn more about the lives.
Valentine Dinner Dates
Love is a very important part of all of our lives. It's what brings us happiness. It is the reason we do what we do at Hagley Place. We wanted to showcase the love our residents and their relatives have for each other by hosting intimate tables for two on Valentine’s day so they and their loved one could have a date night of their own in the Hagley Place restaurant.
College Career Fair
At Hagley we are extremely proud of our chosen careers and the differences we make to those who live here. This February, our resident Eileen, came to the college career fair with our colleagues, Honey and Nicky, to interact and encourage our next generation of care providers.
Church Coffee Shop
To kick start January and get away from post-Christmas blues, we took several of our residents out and about around Ludlow town to see the decorations before they were taken down. Stopping off at St Lawrence’s church for a community get together with other friends, complete with tea and cake.
Christmas Toy Drop
All the staff at Hagley Place worked hard Christmas 2023 to raise as many toys as possible for those children spending Christmas in hospital. Together with relatives and residents they were able to deliver a massive haul to Worcester Children’s Hospital just in time for Santa’s visit.

Barchester Care Awards 2023 - Divisional Winner!
We're so happy to announce that we have been crowned Team of the Year for the Central Division in the Barchester Care Awards 2023 and are through to the national round of judging.
The Barchester Care Awards celebrate the staff who go the extra mile for the benefit of the 13,000 residents living in Barchester’s 252 care homes and private hospitals across the country. Categories range from ‘Registered Nurse of the Year’ and ‘Carer of the Year’ to ‘Dementia Care Champion’ and ‘Activities Coordinator of the Year’.
