Activities at Hempton Field Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Hempton Field Care Home
Piano Practice
Today resident friends; Elizabeth and Mabel took to the piano. It is lovely to see and hear, one playing, whilst the other sings along, it was simply delightful!
National Muffin Day Afternoon Tea
National Muffin Day at Hempton Field included a wonderful afternoon tea with scrumptious muffins & cup-cakes from White's Windmill Cafe in Chinnor.
We were joined via zoom with friends from St Andrews Church Chinnor which is always a pleasure. Our residents just love chatting, and sharing recipes over a nice cup of tea!
Pancake Day 2021
The smell of freshly made pancakes flooded through the home today as we had a fantastic time joining Christian Aid in a 'flipping' competition via zoom. Our residents along with many people, of all ages, from the Chinnor community joined in. We were delighted to see so many people taking part, and sharing creative crafts too!
We even learnt about the 'Swedish pancake' tradition! Everyone agreed, lemon and sugar is the best topping! Although... we will definitely be trying the Swedish recipe next year (if not before).
Thank you everyone for making it such a special day.
Valentines Day
Valentine’s Day at Hempton Field was full of LOVE and all things nice. Our chef cooked a wonderful 3 course meal and our residents we're treated to some scrumptious glazed heart shaped biscuits and personal selection of chocolates to enjoy throughout the day.
Our tree of dreams looked beautiful, decorated with crafted hearts by our residents and messages of love and hope.
