Activities at Hempton Field Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Armchair Exercises
This is our lovely Margaret enjoying our fun exercises! Margaret has just recently joined our Hempton Field family and was very keen to join our exercise groups.
Christingle Service and Candles
Our residents really enjoyed the St Andrews Church, Chinnor Christingle service. Prior to the service, our activities team downloaded a helpful guide from the St Andrews website which gave step-by-step instruction on how to make individual Christingle candles which provided them with a full history behind the ‘meaning of giving’ – so beautiful.
Surprise Visit from Santa!
Ho, ho, ho! Santa visited the residents and staff of Hempton Field today. What a jolly man he is, handing out presents for all. It was smiles and giggles all round. Thank you for popping by, we know you’re a very busy man this time of year!
Barchester Christmas Cake Competition
What a fantastic Christmas Cake!
Our residents all participated in their own way to finishing off our Christmas cake entry to this year’s Barchester homes competition. From modeling and painting the icing shapes to placing them to create this wonderful scene. We're loving the candy canes deliciously painted by George and Betty and the holly by Elizabeth. We think you will agree it’s a “winner”.
Festive Songs & Cake
Our lovely Elizabeth is an example of determination. Despite some life challenges she entertained us all with a piano recital before making the first cut into our beautiful Christmas cake provided by Chef Heather. Such a special start to the festive celebrations.
Remembrance Day
Our Remembrance Day was filled with stories and reflections of days gone by. Our poppies were made by residents and the lovely people of Chinnor village and I think you will agree looked fabulous.
We appreciated and remembered all those who lost their lives and those who lives were changed forever due to injury or loss. #Lest we forget
