Activities at Hempton Field Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

St David's Day at Hempton Field

To celebrate St David’s Day the residents at Hempton Field were treated to a menu full of traditional ‘Welsh’ dishes including; Welsh rarebit, roasted leg of lamb or David’s day risotto served with Welsh onion cakes. And for pudding… Pwdin Eva (Welsh Apple Dessert).

They enjoyed Welsh music and watched a beautiful ‘virtual’ tour of Wales, which brought back fond memories of family summer holidays across this 'land of song'.

This week we were joined virtually for an informative talk recognising 'Fairtrade Festival' week. Local volunteer and friend of the home; Rod Thorpe enlightened our resident group on the #FairtradeFoundation

We all now understand why we should #ChooseFairtrade Thank you so much Rod for your gifts, time and interesting talk.
