Activities at Kenwyn Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Scarlett Eastham
As the head of Activities and Kenwyn, Scarlett has been part of the team for two years, Initially working as a Care Assistant. She has a genuine passion for spending time with residents, always making their happiness her priority and bringing smiles to their faces.
Scarlett loves reading, self-care and cooking. A true animal lover, she has a particular fondness for diary cows. Originally from Burnley, she moved down to Cornwall a few years ago and has embraced life in Cornwall ever since.

The Good Nurse
Clinical Lead, Emily Marshall, attended the Regional Great British Care Awards and walked away with the 'Good Nurse Award'. Emily is a real asset to Kenwyn, showing her true dedication and commitment. We are very proud of Emily and this award is very well-deserved!
Knit & Natter
Every week, we come together for our 'Knit and Natter' morning, where we have a group session of knitting, a cup of tea and a chat!
Halloween Spooktacular
Residents, loved ones and staff members all dressed up horrifically for the occasion. We also carved some pumpkins and prepared some spooktacular refreshments.
1950s-Themed Open Day
We hosted a 1950's-themed open day, consisting of live vocalist entertainment and a party, where everyone dressed to impress! We also had flower arranging and seated exercises, along with plenty of sweet treats. Everyone had a great time!
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Staff, residents and family members joined us for our Macmillan Coffee Morning, and we managed to raise £220 in total. We all baked cakes for the occasion and, of course, we ate plenty too! Such a great morning for such a great cause!
Owltimate Encounters
Residents enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon stroking and holding reptiles, skinny pigs, rabbits and tarantulas! The animals were even able to visit less mobile residents in their rooms. Tallons Owltimate Encounters comes in every other week by popular demand.
