Activities at Latimer Court Care Home
Here at Latimer Court, we have a varied social programme that includes themed events once a month, painting classes, day trips out, exercise classes and arts & crafts, to name but a few. We strive to tailor our activities to suit everyone's needs, and update our notice boards weekly so that all families and visitors can see what their loved ones have been up to. Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Latimer Court Care Home
Visit to the beautiful Confetti Fields
Acres of delphiniums and cornflowers bloom on the Wyke Manor Estate Farm in Worcestershire every July. It is a spectacular sight and a wonderful experience to wander in amongst the flowers!
2017 is their 20th year of growing confetti petals and to celebrate this anniversary they planted another Union Jack flower flag!
Alongside the Flag there are beautiful stripes of colourful flowers, winding paths, walkways and lovely views to Bredon Hill and the surrounding countryside. Residents enjoyed the scenery, soaked up the colours, and went to The Confetti Café in the flower field where they enjoyed tea, coffee and delicious cakes!
Encourage Activity
Encourage Activity visits the home each Friday to facilitate regular activities that help stimulate physical, social and psychological well-being.
Gardening Club
The Gardening Club meets every Thursday morning to attend to all aspects of horticulture around the home. Most recently, the focus was on creating hanging baskets to display within the grounds.
Nigel and the Pink Ladies
Nigel, our Maintenance Manager, and our team of bubbly housekeepers, AKA The Pink Ladies, are always on hand to keep Latimer Court fresh and well-presented whilst being a home away from home.
They are always happy to offer help and support in any way they can.
Easter at Latimer
Fresh cakes are always a staple at Latimer, but Easter gives us an excuse to join two of our favourites: freshly baked cakes and chocolate. Amy and Pat got involved in producing some fantastic cakes.
Preparation is everything, and we had lots of help to ensure that there were plenty of decorated eggs for our annual Easter egg hunt. Many people were keen to get involved and win a chocolate Easter egg.
Employee of the Month - March
A big congratulations to our two Employees of the Month! Well done to Maintenance Assistant, Nigel Coachman, and Care Assistant, Dragos Ciuc, for the hard work and dedication that you both bring to Latimer Court. Excellent feedback from other staff, relatives and residents - keep up the good work!
