Activities at Lynde House Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators get a real buzz off their work here as enthusiasm is essential for the role. We decorate and celebrate for all the big annual events, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mothering Sunday and much more. There are also regular fixtures in our activities programme, including bingo, a sherry morning and quizzes, that are always well-attended. There's also an International Day that we hold to celebrate the wonderful ethnic diversity of our staff, where members of our team and their families give up their time to showcase their national costumes, dances and songs. Of course, we also have activities and services tailored to those residents who prefer the quiet life, such manicures or simply a friendly chat and a cup of tea. We always do our best to learn about residents' hobbies and interests and try to arrange our activities programme around their individual likes and dislikes.

Life at Lynde House Care Home
Fall's Fighters
In support of our Fall Fighters Campaign, Lynde House invited members of the local community, Residents, Relatives and Staff to Lynde House Care Home for our Fall Fighters workshop on Wednesday 8th February at 11:00am.
Lynde House's physiotherapist Mahindra and Deputy Manager Kiran held a group discussion debating the importance of the falls prevention process and how best to avoid incidents.
The mandatory gorgeous refreshments were also available
Nameste
Early February saw the official opening of our Namaste Therapy here at Lynde House.
The residents enjoyed some relaxing therapy lead by our namaste champions and what an amazing start to this journey!
Thank you to the team for their hard work in preparing this and our fabulous quite 'namaste' room for our residents
All 999 services welcome
Local NHS teams are always welcome here at Lynde House for some hot refreshments, cakes, sandwiches as George and Lewis found out.
Thank you for all you do for us throughout the year
Our Puppy Millie
We would like to introduce you to Milly, the baby Golden Retriever. Milly hopefully will be Lynde House's very own 'PAT' dog.
Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a national charity that enhances the health and wellbeing of thousands of people in Care Homes across the UK.
Millie is the newest addition to our General Manager's Alison's Macintosh, she is just ten and a half weeks old and today came to Lynde House to meet Molly, one of our residents who has previously owned golden retrievers and some of our other dog loving residents.
She is just lovely.
The Year of the Rabbit
We welcomed in the Year of the Rabbit with a day of celebrations and activities. The Chinese New Year is China’s most important festival that celebrated the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar calendar. We all enjoyed a delicious Chinese New Years Lunch, some music from Greater China, and had a discussion about the animals associated with the Chinese zodiac. It was a fun day!
Carols at St Stephens
Thank you to St Stephens Church - East Twickenham who last night invited both residents and staff to their amazing carol concert.
As usual it was amazing and a very good time was had by all.
