Activities at Lynde House Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators get a real buzz off their work here as enthusiasm is essential for the role. We decorate and celebrate for all the big annual events, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mothering Sunday and much more. There are also regular fixtures in our activities programme, including bingo, a sherry morning and quizzes, that are always well-attended. There's also an International Day that we hold to celebrate the wonderful ethnic diversity of our staff, where members of our team and their families give up their time to showcase their national costumes, dances and songs. Of course, we also have activities and services tailored to those residents who prefer the quiet life, such manicures or simply a friendly chat and a cup of tea. We always do our best to learn about residents' hobbies and interests and try to arrange our activities programme around their individual likes and dislikes.

Life at Lynde House Care Home

Delivering Christmas cheer to our Fantastic Community

Lynde House's General Manager Alison Mcintosh and members of our team visited some of Lynde House's professional contacts within our great community to deliver some 'Christmas Cheer' from staff and residents here at Lynde House.

One our many visits was to the fantastic East Twickenham Neighbours Association, a vibrant and welcoming community centre that seems to offer something for everyone who is in need and the amazing Richmond Good Neighbours who have been providing support to Richmond residents for over thirty years.

What an amazing community we live in.

Marble Hill House

Taking full advantage of the autumnal weather and our local park, we visited Marble Hill House at the beginning of the month. Assisted by one of the fabulous volunteers we were shown round the house, recently opened after extensive renovations. Well worth a visit.

Sunshine!

Did you know that Lynde House is located in a lovely “nook” (a corner or recess, especially one offering seclusion or security), between Mable Hill Park and the Thames?
