Activities at Lynde House Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators get a real buzz off their work here as enthusiasm is essential for the role. We decorate and celebrate for all the big annual events, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mothering Sunday and much more. There are also regular fixtures in our activities programme, including bingo, a sherry morning and quizzes, that are always well-attended. There's also an International Day that we hold to celebrate the wonderful ethnic diversity of our staff, where members of our team and their families give up their time to showcase their national costumes, dances and songs. Of course, we also have activities and services tailored to those residents who prefer the quiet life, such manicures or simply a friendly chat and a cup of tea. We always do our best to learn about residents' hobbies and interests and try to arrange our activities programme around their individual likes and dislikes.

Life at Lynde House Care Home
Tilly
Tilly, our resident cat has lived at Lynde house for 9 years, Tilly brings us all a lot of joy whether that be the occasional cuddle or the enjoyment of her chasing some object or another . She has befriended many residents over the years!
St Patrick's Day
At Lynde House we celebrated St Patrick's day in style. We all enjoyed eating Irish food and had a nice glass of Guinness in the afternoon. All the residents enjoyed dressing up for the day.
Birthday Celebrations
We celebrated Peggy's 100 birthday. She was joined by her close family and friends a celebration of this special day... and, of course, to read that all important card from Her Majesty the Queen!
Spring Preparations
Winter may be here but we are already preparing for Spring! Many of our residents love gardening and here at Lynde House we take full advantage of this in our beautiful gardens .
Intergenerational Fun
Another joyful afternoon with our nursery children. Christmas is coming so we created beautiful Christmas cards.
Green Fingers
A huge thanks to GoodGym in Richmond for creating some raised beds in one of our gardens. We have a long association with this team who have given us their time on many occasions. Their talents are endless: painting garden furniture, building bird boxes, carol singing for residents at Christmas, and now they have given some residents an opportunity to start planting their spring flowers.
