Activities at Magnolia Court Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators work as a team by involving staff and relatives in the activities sessions. They implement and plan activities tailored to residents' likes, dislikes, beliefs and life stories. Lots of people choose to place loved ones in Magnolia Court because of our reputation for hosting great activities all year long!

I joined Barchester in December 2019 as an Activities assistant and in February 2022 I became the Activities Lead at Magnolia Court Care Home. I am passionate about my role at Magnolia Court, I am a people person and nothing makes me happier than putting a smile on our Residents faces. It is a joy to work with such a great team, I am very happy to be a part of team Magnolia and look forward to meeting you soon!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Magnolia Court Care Home
National Biscuit Day
Our residents were happy to take part in National Biscuit Day. They enjoyed decorating some biscuits and really loved the healthy fruit drinks made by our chef and his team.
Loneliness Awareness Week
Last week we asked you to nominate people living in the community who are living alone and would like to receive an afternoon tea.
We had lots of nominations, Magnolia Courts wonderful chef made delicious sandwiches, cakes and scones. Our Manager and team went out delivering these special boxes.
Carers Week Thank You
This week our devoted staff were treated to a Turkish feast fit for a king. A wonderful hamper from relatives and a yummy cake for the carers ‘week... we feel so loved here at Magnolia Court and thank you for thinking of us
Green Finger Garden Club
As the sun is starting to shine the flowers have started to bloom. Our very own green fingered Joan could pick up her first flower today.

Lockdown Bakedown
A huge thank you to our relatives and Magnolia friends who have been baking and cooking during the tough time just to support the staff and congratulate them for their bravery and dedication. They really spoiled us!
