Activities at Moors Manor Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.

I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.

When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.

I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Moors Manor Care Home

Giving Thanks

Moors Manor has been lending a helping hand to NHS staff at St Leonards Hospital as they start their COVID-19 vaccination programme.

It’s been great to be able to offer our car park to the hard working staff from the hospital to allow more space for those attending their vaccine appointment. The team have been out in all weathers making sure that the traffic marshals have hot drinks and helping out however they can.

The team have also put together treat bags for the NHS staff to say thank you, which were left on their cars for when they finished their shift, the home has had great feedback from the hospital team, with several nurses visiting Moors Manor to say thank you and comment on how appreciated they feel.

Christmas Jumper Day

The Moors Manor team have been celebrating Christmas Jumper Day and raising money for Save the Children UK.

They were joined by Ringwood Mayor, Councillor Tony Ring, who enjoyed a tour of the home and spoke with the team about our new care home.
