Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson
Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.
I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.
When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Visit to local pub
Some of our residents expressed an interest in going to the pub for a drink. So that is what we did. Veena, Marjorie and Ivan along with Gemma our Deputy Manager and Louisa Carer at Moors drove them to a local watering hole. Many stories were told of childhood and life changing experiences. A great afternoon for everyone.

Art workshop at Moors
Ivan and Valerie enjoyed our art workshop this afternoon. The colour palettes and shading techniques varied considerably. Bibesh joined the class by accompanying them with his guitar and singing popular song requests.

Summer fair fun!
A fantastic afternoon of live music, delicious food and drink along with ice-creams from the Mr Whippy van. We were joined by our residents, families, friends and many new visitors from our local community. Many had a tour of the facilities here and everyone had a great time.
