Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Model Making in Gentleman's Club

At the most recent Moreton Hill Gentleman’s Club we were so pleased to welcome Graham who came along to do model making. Graham's mum is one of our residents so he is a familiar face at Moreton Hill. Graham was chatting one day to Roger and he kindly offered to come in, it was a really enjoyable session accompanied by a cuppa. They built a firefly tank which is ready to paint at the next session. Thank you so much Graham for your time, this was such a good project for our wonderful gentleman residents.

Experimenting with Paper Marbling

Moreton Hill residents are becoming experts at paper crafts, this time we tried paper marbling. The residents were assisted by Moreton Hill's new Activities Assistant Caroline. What amazing results and what a fascinating craft, everyone loved that there was a different result each time.

Visit to Riding for Disabled

Moreton Hill residents visited Barton End Stables and the Riding for Disabled session with Patchwork RDA.  It really was a fabulous afternoon and we were delighted to present the proceeds of our raffle to this wonderful charity. Jackie, our Activities Coordinator has volunteered here for many years and residents always love to visit. Lily was confidently riding Alfie a charming pony. We can't wait to return, thank you Barton End for the hospitality what better way to enjoy a cup of tea than in the sun watching the beauty of horses.
