Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Easter Bunny Arrives at Moreton Hill

Moreton Hill residents have had a marvellous time this Easter weekend. The Easter bunny hid eggs in our courtyard which we had great fun finding. Today we all enjoyed Mel Lewis playing well known songs from the theatre and films, it was great to sing along. Afternoon tea included prosecco served in china cups and Simmel cake.

Happy Easter Tree

Happy Easter from Moreton Hill. Over the past few days residents have been creating spring and Easter themed crafts. Beautiful delicate eggs are on display in reception, each hand decorated and hanging from our own egg tree. Our 3d daffodils look striking and we were all delighted with the end results. They were more tricky than anticipated, but we had some laughs and our residents have such great spirit they persevered with the idea and made it a reality.

A Great Day of Trips Out

Moreton Hill's trips out are always popular with residents.

Lorna and Jackie run two trips every Wednesday with the residents giving suggestions on where they would like to go, whilst it is fun to go new places, everyone has their firm favourites. This morning our residents from Severn View visited Minchinhampton Common and our top venue Winstones Ice Cream everyone also really enjoyed seeing the lambs and views across the five valleys on such a clear day.

With such a clear day this afternoon we drove out to Haresfield Beacon to take advantage of the views. We were also a great hit with local dogs again, the Moreton Hill mini bus is a big attraction for dogs!
