Activities at Moreton Hill Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Jackie Chillingworth
Hello. I am Jackie, the Lead Activity Co-Ordinator at Moreton Hill. I have worked for Barchester for over 10 years. Now, together with my team and the staff at our beautiful home, our aim is to help all residents live life to the best they can by bringing meaningful and enriching activities into their lives.

Life at Moreton Hill Care Home
Butterfly World
The ladies had a great time in the butterfly house, even though it was hot and humid. What a lovely day!
Pet Therapy
Residents enjoyed some cuddles with Lizzie the Lurcher, our per therapy dog. She joins us every Friday morning and loved when people make a fuss of her.
Green-Fingered Jim
Jim has been putting in canes to support the sunflowers that we have planted for our sunflower competition. The weather has been so good lately and we are spending a lot of time in the courtyard enjoying the flowers and birds.
Community Fun
Despite England playing Belgium in the World Cup, over 40 people attended an event sponsored and organised by Moreton Hill at Stonehouse Community Centre. June Hennell, MBE and founder of Memory Link, and Robbie Duncan spoke about their experiences of dealing with family members living with dementia. Overall, the event was a huge success.
Minchinhampton Common
With the incredible weather we are having, we thought it would be silly to not get out in the minibus and go to Minchinhampton Common for the afternoon! We couldn't help but get a delicious ice cream to cool us down.
Sunset Views
We managed to capture the sun setting over the Forest of Dean just in front of the home, it was beautiful!
