Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Hello. I am Jackie, the Lead Activity Co-Ordinator at Moreton Hill. I have worked for Barchester for over 10 years. Now, together with my team and the staff at our beautiful home, our aim is to help all residents live life to the best they can by bringing meaningful and enriching activities into their lives.

Life at Moreton Hill Care Home
Trip Out to Paddy's Gallery
Dimp, Dorothy and Moira enjoyed morning coffee whilst visiting the Aliqua Art Galley in Gloucester recently. The gallery is run by Patrick 'Paddy' Esson, our visiting potter at Moreton Hill. Paddy teaches pottery every month at the home, so it was really nice that some of his 'students' were able to see his work in the gallery and enjoy a coffee and a cream scone!
Carer for the Carer
Barchester sponsored Pittville Park's Care for the Carer Walk, which was attended by Moreton Hill's General Manager, Ann, who brought lots of goodie bags along with her. The weather was beautiful, with lots of people attending and plenty of fun stuff going on as well. A great day was had by all!
15 Years Long Service Award
Divisional Director, Matthew Neill presented Activities Coordinator, Nickie Wilshaw, with her 15 Years Long Service Award. Congratulations, Nickie!
Moreton Hill's Employee of the Month for April
Eddie Langford is our winner for April's Employee of the Month. Eddie is a member of the Moreton Hill maintenance team and is primarily responsible for the beautiful gardens, but really he is Superman. People at Moreton Hill have said that he is "always willing to help, gives 100% all of the time and has a good rapport with residents."
Nothing is ever a problem and no is not an option for Eddie.
Moreton Hill Celebrates the Queen's 90th
We had an amazing afternoon celebrating the Queen's birthday here at Moreton Hill. We enjoyed some patriotically-decorated cakes, as you can see by the red, white and blue colour scheme. Sheila and Steve provided the entertainment, with a set of traditional and patriotic songs, which everyone joined in with. Roy was the king of the day as his birthday is today (22/4).
Employee of the Month - March
There were some great things said about Jenna by her colleagues. A few of the lovely things that were brought up were that she is forward thinking, always kind to residents and a genuine lovely girl that is always making the residents smile.
