Activities at Orchard House Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Celebrations of Olympic Proportions at Orchard House

Celebrations of Olympic Proportions at Orchard House

We celebrated the Olympics at Orchard House. Staff and residents made a giant torch and other Olympic-themed decorations, and everyone had a great time participating in the day's activities! Medals and awards were presented to the winners and those who took part.

At The Orchard, we are getting ready to celebrate and take part in our own Olympics and, in readiness for this, we have decorated the window of one of our units to get the residents, relatives and staff ready for the fun.

Maintenance Work Their Socks Off

Maintenance Work Their Socks Off

The maintenance team at The Orchards have worked their ‘socks off’ to develop the courtyard garden for residents at the home. This has included the building of a fabulous sun-house, which can be seen in the photograph. The team have worked through thick and thin to ensure the garden is ready for residents and visitors to enjoy throughout the summer. Gaynor, the General Manager and all the team at The Orchards, are extremely proud of the maintenance team as they are very dedicated and can build, repair or do most of the things that you ask of them. A huge thanks goes out to all of them for their hard work and dedication.

April Fools Day

April Fools Day

On 1st April The Orchards held a ‘Silly’ day and the staff all dressed up in weird and wonderful costumes to get into the spirit of the day. However, after we had the photos taken the brilliant activities co-ordinator, Maria informed us that it was all an April Fool’s joke. So even though we felt very silly, the residents enjoyed the fun!
