Activities at Park View Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Park View Care Home
Halloween Party
On Thursday 31st October we held a Halloween party at Park View, which was decorated all spooky also along with handmade decorations by the Residents , with staff dressing up and Residents having the face painted or wearing hats.
We held the party on Oaks 2. We had scary food and punch for the residents as well as an entertainer Debbie who performed a variety of songs that had the residents singing, dancing and clapping along. Some residents families also attended and was an event enjoyed by all.
Halloween Preparations
Residents have been busy creating their own decorations ready for Halloween. We will be putting these up in the community ready for our party.
Arts & Crafts
Residents made some welcoming signs for the community during our arts & crafts session.
Walton-on-the-Naze
Our residents took a day trip to Walton-on-Naze. They played in the arcades and had fish and chips by the sea.
Bunker Visit
Staff and residents visited a secret nuclear bunker from the Cold War recently. Everyone had the chance to explore the equipment inside the bunker such as communication systems, telephones, type writers and army maps.
Some residents enjoyed trying on protection costumes from the past. It was a fantastic day out.
We are a Divisional Winner!
Well done to everyone on our Memory Lane team, as they have been named as a Divisional Winner in the 'Team of the Year' category for the 2019 Barchester Care Awards.
