Activities at Park View Care Home

Today, our residents had a wonderful time visiting the iconic Banqueting House, where history truly comes alive! They explored the stunning architecture and learnt about the rich history surrounding this magnificent venue.

But the excitement didn't stop there! They also witnessed the spectacular Changing of the Guard ceremony, a tradition that showcases the precision and pageantry of the British Armed Forces. The vibrant uniforms and the ceremonial music were a sight to behold! 

It was a day filled with joy, learning, and unforgettable memories. Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible!

What a delightful evening at Southend! Our residents had a fantastic time enjoying classic fish and chips while taking a scenic stroll along the beach. 

To top off the day, they indulged in some delicious donuts! Resident Pauline shared how much she enjoyed the outing, saying, "It was really nice, and I want to go again!" Both Marian and Pat echoed her sentiments, expressing that they had a wonderful time as well.

It’s always heartwarming to see everyone having fun and making beautiful memories together!

Our residents at Park View enjoyed a fantastic day out exploring the wonders of London Zoo! From majestic lions to playful penguins, they experienced a variety of incredible animals up close.

One of the highlights was definitely feeding the goats! The smiles on their faces were priceless as they interacted with these friendly creatures. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and great company.

Big happy 90th birthday to our Rose from the Memory Lane community!      

Rose celebrated this special milestone surrounded by her loving family, and she shared that she had a lovely day filled with joy and laughter. Here's to many more wonderful memories! 

Today, some of our lovely residents enjoyed a delightful outing to Canvey Island! They savoured delicious fish and chips while soaking up the sun and fresh sea breeze. After their meal, they took a leisurely stroll along the beach, enjoying the beautiful views and the soothing sounds of the waves.

It was a perfect day filled with laughter, good food, and great company!

A huge thank you to Performing Pets for bringing along an amazing array of farm animals! Our residents, relatives, children, and staff absolutely loved interacting with the sheep, pigs, goats, rabbits, birds, bearded dragons, and more.

We also want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dal’s DJ for the fantastic music that kept the energy high throughout the day! 

A special shout out to 121 Venue on Broad Street for providing delicious food for our guests.

And of course, we thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful BBQ together!

Morning Delights: They started their day with a traditional French breakfast, savouring buttery croissants and fresh café au lait.

Fun & Games: After breakfast, they put their knowledge to the test with a French quiz, diving into the rich culture and history of this beautiful country.

Afternoon Vibes: The afternoon was filled with the enchanting sounds of French music, creating a perfect ambiance for relaxation and conversation.

Cheese & Wine: As the day progressed, our residents indulged in a delightful selection of French cheeses paired with exquisite wines—a true taste of France!

Final Challenge: To cap off the day, they participated in a fun “Beauty and the Beast” quiz, testing their knowledge of this beloved classic.

What a fantastic way to explore the wonders of France from our very own armchairs! 

Our furry friends brought joy and smiles to everyone as they visited our residents. Among them were adorable golden puppies, wagging their tails and spreading love. 

It was heartwarming to see the residents interacting with the pets, sharing stories, and enjoying the fresh air together. These visits remind us of the happiness animals can bring into our lives. Thank you to everyone who made this day special!     

Today, we celebrated a monumental milestone for our beloved Lona from the Memory Lane Community! Turning 100 is no small feat, and we couldn't be more thrilled to honor her special day.

Lona received a heartfelt birthday card from none other than King Charles and Camilla, making her day even more memorable! Surrounded by her loving family and some wonderful ladies from the community, she enjoyed an afternoon filled with joy, laughter, and beautiful music from a talented singer.

What a fantastic day at Park View! High Voltage Performing Arts brought the joy of music to our residents with an incredible brass band performance. The community gathered to enjoy the uplifting melodies, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter and rhythm.         

It was heartwarming to see both residents and their relatives come together, sharing smiles and memories. Thank you, High Voltage, for bringing such joy to our day!
