Activities at Paternoster House Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at Paternoster House Care Home
Day Trip to Fishers Green
Just a few minutes drive away from our home is the beautiful Lee Valley Regional Park Fishers Green Nature Reserve with its fabulous nature trails, its a wildlife watchers haven. Our happy band of twitching residents loved spotting all the different birds and feeding the swans.
Dot recalled visiting the park every Sunday with her husband Dave. It really is a special place to wander and relax, meet new people and enjoy the wide open spaces, quiet woodlands and waterside environments.
180! Darts Anyone?
At Paternoster House we are passionate about residents being able to continue enjoying lifelong hobbies, as well as exploring new ones whilst living at our home.
Earlier this year our residents were enthralled by the darting achievements of raising star; Luke Littler and the Activities team thought they might like to try out their own arrow skills 'on the oche'!
#180 Staff Vs Residents...Let's see if we have a champion in our midst
Happy Birthday 'Corina'
Please join us in wishing our super General Manager; Corina a very Happy Birthday!
Corina had know idea we'd been planning a surprise party for her on Tuesday, but we couldn't let the event pass without toasting her continued good health - Happy Birthday Corina from all at Paternoster House.
What a Perrrfect way to start the day!
Our residents were all the 'cat's whiskers' as they got lots of cuddles with the adorable visiting kitties from Performing Pets on Tuesday.
Residents at Paternoster House love the animal therapy sessions that our dedicated Activities Team organise during the month. As one of the foundations of our Life Enrichment program, we know that animal therapy can help reduce blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health.
Music and Movement
Our residents love music, movement and letting themselves go!
Anastasia Cole from Music for Health always brings the magic with her interactive workshops. We get to sing and dance together, play music instruments and above all have a good laugh together whilst keeping fit.
Parachute Practice
Did you know that we have accessible and beautifully landscaped gardens? We love spending time in our garden, it is an environment where our residents and their families can sit, relax and enjoy a variety of exciting activities. This week our residents decided to do a little light exercise outside with the parachute! Who doesn’t enjoy a bit of fun in the sun?
