Activities at Paternoster House Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at Paternoster House Care Home
Easter Animal Fun
It has been a fluffy kind of day at Paternoster House.
We've had some delightful bunnies, ducklings and chicks visiting today, who have put smiles of everyone's faces! Nothing says Easter quite like getting to hold a pair of tiny Easter chicks or ducklings in your hand!
Animal therapy is one of the cornerstones of our life enrichment programme and our Activities Coordinators work hard to ensure that our therapy sessions are varied and enjoyed by all.
Live Music At Paternoster House
Live music is one of the cornerstones of our life enrichment programme here at Paternoster House. Our Activity Coordinators work hard to ensure that a wide range of musical tastes are catered too and that favoured performers visit on a regular basis.
Robert Jerome is one of our regular entertainers. Robert's performances always have the residents clapping, dancing and singing along. We are looking forward to having him back again soon.
Sunshine Nursery Visits Paternoster House
The wonderful children from Sunshine Nursery and Pre-school visited Paternoster House this week to present us with their beautiful donations of decorations in the theme of International Happiness Day.
The children were dressed up for Red Nose Day and look fantastic as the joined residents for some music and a sing-a-long.
Poodle Joy!
We had a joy-bringing visit from Performing Pets who brought toy poodle puppies for us to meet! This adorable pair had everyone at Paternoster House falling in love with them.
Residents and staff wanted the gorgeous little bundles and fun to stay, and Performing Pets have promised to return for another visit soon.
International Women's Day
We celebrated International Women's Day by asking residents and staff for their favourite inspirational quote from a woman.
We are proud to have so many independent, intelligent and successful women working and livinng at Paternoster House.
Paradise Wildlife Park Trip
Today was National Wildlife Day and we could not think of a better way to celebrate than a trip to Paradise Wildlife Park.
The wildlife park is fantastic and allowed us to get up close with a huge range of exotic animals including tigers, wolves and reindeer. The outing was hugely popular and we had a lot of fun despite the weather being slightly against us.
