Activities at Rose Water Place Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Georgia Williams

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Georgia and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Rose Water Place.

I have done various roles in the care industry from being a carer, to activities, to administrator.  I have enjoyed every role but I feel activities is my calling.  I love making our residents smile and enjoy spending time with them and listening to every life story and ambition.

During Covid, I won a regional and national award for activities and had the opportunity to have afternoon tea in the House of Lords.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Rose Water Place Care Home

Elvis Presley’s 90th Birthday

On Wednesday our residents celebrated what would have been Elvis Presley’s 90th birthday. Lots of our residents are big Elvis fans and love his music. We had a fantastic day listening and singing to his hits, finding out about his early life and what influenced him and watching old Elvis movies, he was such an incredible talent.

Oh no they didn't ....Oh yes they did ....

On Friday some our residents watched a streamed Cinderella adult panto from 1985. The laughter that came from them was a joy to see and extremely infectious.

New Year Resolutions!

As it is bitterly cold outside, the team and residents sat together and decided to write their New Year resolutions.

New Year with a Bang!

Residents, families, friends and staff celebrating 2025 like no other. London fireworks and New York ball drop have nothing on us! Looking forward to another year of life enrichment.

Before the Year Ends

We can't wait to celebrate 2025 with a bang!

Stuffed with Christmas Turkey

Christmas dinner went down like we've never had roast before! Delicious and sumptuous!  Residents, families, friends and staff had enjoyed lunch without worries or cares. The crackers had been opened, presents had been given, and wine overflown. Now time to sit back, loosen up our buttons and relax.
