Activities at Sherwood Court Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Sherwood Court Care Home
National Ice Cream Day
Residents across our homes had a fantastic time during a special live virtual event in celebration on National Ice Cream Day. Wall’s team took us on a great journey through history, sharing fascinating details about the brand since its launch in 1922. We learned about major innovations such as the introduction of Mr Whippy, Cornetto, Viennetta, Twister, and Carte d'Or.
Residents were treated to a singalong to Cornetto classic ads, an interactive quiz about fun Wall’s facts and best-of-all, an ice-cream tasting session. It was a delightful experience for everyone, especially our ice-cream lovers.
A Performance by Geno
Here at Sherwood Court we had a fun filled afternoon, with our entertainer, Geno. One of the residents favourites! With songs and music from the past and present that filled the home, and also lots of jokes. The dance floor was filled with all kinds of moves! The family members said they had so much fun and asked Geno to came back soon!
Strawberries and Cream!
Here at Sherwood Court residents and staff enjoyed a fresh fruity surprise on a hot summer day. As it is Wimbledon and we all love the tennis it was time for strawberries and cream to accompany the tennis. We all had a lot of fun.
Summer Fete brings community together
Sherwood Court held their popular summer fair over the weekend and the weather was perfect for this outdoor get-together for Relatives, Residents, Colleagues and members of the community! Everyone at the home was overwhelmed with the turnout and we wish to thank everyone one who helped make the fair possible, from helpers, families and friends – we had a fantastic time and we hope you did too!
The history of Dogs Trust
Residents across our homes had a fantastic time during a special live virtual event, led by Jennifer and Emily from Dogs Trust, the UK's largest dog welfare charity. Jennifer and Emily took us on a journey to discover the rich history of Dogs Trust and their facilities.
Using captivating video and photo footage, our residents were able to explore rehoming centres and learn more about the highest level of welfare offered there. It was a delightful experience for everyone, especially our dog lovers.
The Lost and Found Choir
Today at Sherwood court, the Residents were thoroughly entertained by 'The Lost and Found' choir. A wonderful show that the residents loved. Music and fun for all, and to each and person who is part of the choir, we would like to thank you, and you should be very proud of yourself!
