Activities at Sherwood Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinator is constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. We have regular outings in the mini bus to nearby places of interest including local garden centres and parks as well as musicians and entertainers. We also hold bingo evenings which are helped out by our residents families. We also have a local pub nearby which the residents enjoy visiting from time to time for a spot of lunch or sitting in the gardens in the summer time. We try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests as best is possible. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Sherwood Lodge Care Home
A Visit from Geoff
Geoff is a regular visitor, our residents love the sound of the accordion and singing along to their favourite songs.
This the first time Lilly has met Geoff and she really enjoyed the afternoon.
St Patrick's Day
Sheila and Margatet helped to make some shamrock banner for St Patrick's Day, and got carried away.
Harry and the Plant Pit
Harry always comes up with creative ideas! The frog-shaped plant pot is sporting some very tropical colours!
Dominoes Club
Our weekly Dominoes Club always attracts visitors and guarantees a lot of banter and laughter.
Church Coffee Morning
Residents attended a Tuesday coffee morning at the local church. As well as topical conversation and hot coffee, delicious cakes are also enjoyed. Sherwood Lodge residents are made to feel very welcome, and new friends are made each week.
Sketching Club
At our recent sketching club, residents created cartoon sketches of each other with some very amusing results – no one’s feelings were hurt and a great deal of banter followed!
