Activities at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
The activity team within our home spend a lot of time committing themselves to organising a range of activities for residents. This includes, pet therapy, trips out to local places of interest, visits from entertainers and musicians, bingo, one to one pamper time, weekly quizzes, coffee mornings, arts and crafts and baking. Activities are considered to be a crucial aspect of our home as residents look forward to upcoming events. As a result, it is essential that our team work together with dedication, to ensure residents are entertained and involved in as many activities as possible.
Michael Lythgoe
I have worked in the care sector for 36 years, initially working for the NHS at Brandesburton Hospital as a care assistant. When the hospital closed I transferred to Townend Court and continued as a care assistant on the forensic ward for people with a learning disability. It was whilst working with the Occupational therapists at Townend that I discovered my passion for engaging the patients in activities of their choosing, I’m quite artistic and creative so it was an easy transition
I have many years’ experience working with the older generation and those who live with dementia, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and other diagnosis’.
I am really looking forward to bring both my experience and passion to my new role and to see the positive impact on our resident population.

Life at Stamford Bridge Beaumont Care Home
Virtual singing session
Our home had a fantastic time with vocal coach Mark De-Lisser as he led an amazing virtual singing session for our residents to enjoy.
Our residents were able to learn different techniques as they sang the famous ‘I’m a Believer’ by The Monkees.
There were smiles and laugher all around. The session was such a success and was great for the mind, body and soul.
Ladies Day at Royal Ascot
Residents virtually joined all the race goers at Ascot, we donned our fascinators and enjoyed strawberries and cream along with some bubbly followed by some freshly made scones prepared by our fantastic catering team. Residents chose a horse to back each race with a bit of friendly competitiveness a wonderful afternoon has been had by all.
National Beer Day
Our gentlemen here at Stamford Bridge Beaumont have enjoyed National Beer day by trying a variety of different beers and of course some savoury snacks too.

Visit to Yorkshire Air Museum
We enjoyed a great trip out to the Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington!
Residents really enjoyed walking around looking and talking about the aeroplanes and all the history behind them.
It was a big thumbs up from Bob.
Queen's Official Birthday
We had a wonderful day as we marked the Queen’s official birthday with a good old royal tea party.
We all enjoyed a tasty selection of freshly-baked biscuits, pastries, scones and cakes for the special occasion, all washed down with a nice cuppa tea.
It was a lovely day, enjoyed by all.
