Activities at Tandridge Heights Care Home
Our qualified and dedicated activities staff plan and implement all activities within the home. We try our best to arrange activities that reflect our residents interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can. We try to keep our residents active and happy.
Our activities include trips to garden centres, pubs, the cinema or the local theatre. We have many fun games like carpet bowls, Play Your Cards Right or armchair exercises. There are many musical events, singalongs, garden parties and tea parties for everyone to enjoy as well!
Kelly Sherwin
I started at Tandridge Heights in 2020. Previous to this, I have been working as a carer sine 2010, which has helped me to understand the needs, wants and the individuality of all of our residents.
My main responsibility is provide a varied and engaging activities schedule every day for our residents; this helps to keep them involved in social and uplifting activities. We love to have parties to celebrate birthdays, national days and special occasions.

Life at Tandridge Heights Care Home
Music
Here at Tandridge Heights we encourage residents to continue with their passions and hobbies. Bob is a keen musician and loves to practice playing his Guitar, he also loves playing the piano and is happy to play for staff and residents.
JJ Fashions
Tandridge Heights welcomed back JJ Fashions who specialise in clothing and accessories for the over 50’s. JJ fashions set up their pop up shop and residents spent the afternoon having a browse and a chat, some purchased some lovely new items and have shown them off at our summer parties. We can’t wait to welcome back JJ Fashions back for another shopping day in November.
Summer Garden Party
Tandridge Heights had a summer garden party in the beautiful sunshine. We had a delicious afternoon tea with homemade scones made by our very talented chef, Mel. We invited local Ukulele band, The Southern Strummers who played us some great songs that we all sang along to. Families and friends also joined us and we had a lovely afternoon.
Sports Day
Residents and staff had great fun on our sports day, Residents played carpet bowls, chair volleyball and balloon tennis. We finished the day with a staff volleyball match and some delicious ice-cream. We all had a lovely day together.
Andy Mace comes to visit
Residents at Tandridge Heights welcomed Andy Mace who sang a selection of our favourite songs, whilst also incorporating exercise, a quiz and telling his best jokes. Andy plays Grandad in the west end production of Only Fools and Horses, he is an amazing singer and made the afternoon funny and enjoyable for all of our residents.
Woodhouse Centre
Residents enjoyed a trip to the woodhouse centre in Oxted, they had a lovely time making homemade cards and enjoying delicious tea and cake. Graham was shown around the work station by a member of the men in sheds team to see what projects they are currently working on, which he found really interesting.
