Activities at Tandridge Heights Care Home
Our qualified and dedicated activities staff plan and implement all activities within the home. We try our best to arrange activities that reflect our residents interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can. We try to keep our residents active and happy.
Our activities include trips to garden centres, pubs, the cinema or the local theatre. We have many fun games like carpet bowls, Play Your Cards Right or armchair exercises. There are many musical events, singalongs, garden parties and tea parties for everyone to enjoy as well!
Kelly Sherwin
I started at Tandridge Heights in 2020. Previous to this, I have been working as a carer sine 2010, which has helped me to understand the needs, wants and the individuality of all of our residents.
My main responsibility is provide a varied and engaging activities schedule every day for our residents; this helps to keep them involved in social and uplifting activities. We love to have parties to celebrate birthdays, national days and special occasions.

Life at Tandridge Heights Care Home
Gardening Club
Residents at Tandridge Heights gardening club have been using their skills and knowledge on a new gardening project, they have been sprucing up the balconies for everybody to enjoy. Residents have been painting the balcony furniture, planting herbs and vegetables and making beautiful hanging baskets. They have been working hard and have done an amazing job.
Easter Celebrations
Residents and staff at Tandridge Heights welcomed families and friends to our Easter family fun afternoon, we had a fantastic Easter hunt for the children, delicious homemade cakes and treats made by our amazing kitchen team, music and lots of fun and games. It was so lovely to see everybody enjoying themselves and the weather was absolutely beautiful.
Ladies Day
Staff at the care home pulled out all the stops to give the residents an afternoon to remember. They rolled out the red carpet, chilled the pink fizz and served delicious canapes so that residents felt like royalty. Everyone dressed up for Ladies Day and we made our own beautiful fascinators, all the residents picked a horse for the Grand National and the whole home joined in with the celebrations.
Mother's Day
Tandridge Heights celebrated the Spring sunshine with a Mother’s Day afternoon tea, residents enjoyed Pimms and lemonade, quiche and homemade scones with clotted cream and jam. We welcomed back Nina to sing for us, we all had a lovely afternoon singing along and dancing to our favourite songs.
St Patrick's Day Celebrations
Residents and staff at Tandridge Heights had lots of fun celebrating St. Patrick’s Day by decorating the home with lots of Shamrock decorations, listening to Irish music and tasting some delicious Guinness. Our Head Chef, Jane, created a fantastic Irish spread with traditional Irish dishes such as boiled bacon, Irish stew, soda bread, colcannon and black pudding all washed down with Guinness or an Irish whiskey.
International Women’s Day
At Tandridge Heights we celebrated International Women’s Day by looking at inspirational women throughout history, and by sharing stories about the amazing women in our own lives. Residents reminisced about their mums, aunties, sisters and their own daughters. We also took time to acknowledge the extraordinary women that work here at Tandridge Heights.
