Activities at Tandridge Heights Care Home
Our qualified and dedicated activities staff plan and implement all activities within the home. We try our best to arrange activities that reflect our residents interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can. We try to keep our residents active and happy.
Our activities include trips to garden centres, pubs, the cinema or the local theatre. We have many fun games like carpet bowls, Play Your Cards Right or armchair exercises. There are many musical events, singalongs, garden parties and tea parties for everyone to enjoy as well!
Kelly Sherwin
I started at Tandridge Heights in 2020. Previous to this, I have been working as a carer sine 2010, which has helped me to understand the needs, wants and the individuality of all of our residents.
My main responsibility is provide a varied and engaging activities schedule every day for our residents; this helps to keep them involved in social and uplifting activities. We love to have parties to celebrate birthdays, national days and special occasions.

Life at Tandridge Heights Care Home
Festive Decor
Residents and staff have been busy decorating the home for Christmas, we are now ready for our jam packed calendar full of festive events.
Residents on our memory lane have been making handmade decorations and Christmas cards to send to people living in our local community.
Christmas party
Residents at Tandridge Heights really enjoyed their Christmas party. They enjoyed a live singer and singing along to their favourite Christmas songs followed by a visit from the big man himself, the local rotary club made a visit with Santa who gave the residents delicious sweets. Residents then enjoyed a delicious buffet supper cooked by our head chef Jane.
Goldinch bauble workshop
Residents and staff were treated to a virtual live event from Goldfinch Floral Studio’s, we were shown how to make beautiful baubles to hang on our Christmas trees. We then had a go at making some ourselves, using dried flowers, fruits and berries. Our residents had a lovely afternoon and have proudly displayed their baubles on the trees around the home.
Christmas Wreath Making
Residents at Tandridge Heights were treated to a live wreath making demonstration from Blooming Haus. We learnt some tips and tricks and then put our new skills to the test and made our own beautiful festive wreaths.
Armistice Day
Staff and residents came together for Armistice Day. We had a remembrance church service and two minutes silence, followed by a visit from the Royal British Legion who gave us a small talk and performed the act of remembrance. Later we had a delicious afternoon tea and a war time sing along. Residents also created a lovely display with pictures and stories of themselves or their family members that were in the armed forces.
Autumn Flower Arranging
Residents at Tandridge Heights enjoyed some autumnal flower arranging. We created beautiful pumpkin bouquets to display in residents' rooms and in the reception area.
