Activities at Threshfield Court Care Home
Here at Threshfield Court, we aim to tailor the activities to meet the needs of individual residents, the communities within the home and the home as a whole. We have regular, structured activities such as visits from Music for Health, specialist armchair exercise facilitators, local musicians and a growing team of volunteers, including our local clergy. We also have time for arts and crafts, all sorts of games, music, poetry and lots more. We are pretty good at being spontaneous too!
Claire Boocock
Hi, my name is Claire Boocock. I come from a background of hospitality and working in the Care Home sector is very new for me but already immense job satisfaction in working with our residents alongside a great team.
I am very excited about this new venture in my career. I am an outgoing person with a big bubbly personality and looking forward to making a big difference to the social well-being of our residents with my flair of creativity and adventure.

Life at Threshfield Court Care Home
Garden Party Preparations
We have been busy planning for our garden party. We have invited the local brass band and Leanne King to sing for us. We will be serving traditional afternoon tea and their will be stalls selling cakes and homemade preserves. We will also be holding a raffle and tombola. All money raised will be for our residents' fund.
Fire Station Visit
We were invited to the fire station in Skipton for coffee and cake to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. A good time was had by all!
Musical Magic
We had a visit from Terry Williams who sang for us. It was lovely to hear the old songs and see the residents singing and dancing along to them.
A Week of Fun
We went out on the minibus with David on Tuesday. It was lovely to see all the lambs growing fast and also we got to enjoy some lovely sunshine. There was plenty of fun and games on Wednesday on, which everyone really enjoyed. on Thursday, we were invited to another care home for a coffee morning; it was lovely for residents to meet some new people and they really liked the ride out in the countryside.
Royal Wedding Celebrations
We celebrated the royal wedding in style with lots of drinks and many sat and watch the ceremony on the big screen.
International Nurses' Day
Threshfield Court hosted a celebration day for Nurses to recognise all the hard work that they do every day. Thank you!
