Activities at Threshfield Court Care Home
Here at Threshfield Court, we aim to tailor the activities to meet the needs of individual residents, the communities within the home and the home as a whole. We have regular, structured activities such as visits from Music for Health, specialist armchair exercise facilitators, local musicians and a growing team of volunteers, including our local clergy. We also have time for arts and crafts, all sorts of games, music, poetry and lots more. We are pretty good at being spontaneous too!

Life at Threshfield Court Care Home
Climbing at the Cow & Calf
Despite the weather, our volunteer bus driver, David, took us out on our morning trip to the Cow & Calf in Ilkley. This is a photograph of our view. We were entertained, with some people learning to climb, whilst enjoying a cup of tea and biscuit.

Celebrating Our Volunteers
The local community has risen to the challenge of helping to add meaning to the day for residents at Threshfield Court.
Our team of volunteers includes over 15 active people; they help us out in all sorts of different ways. For example, by crafting and knitting items, creating poetry, reading to residents, driving our minibus and supporting the local clergy who regularly visit.
The rewards flow both ways – it benefits residents' well-being a great deal and the folks who volunteer gain real satisfaction and enjoyment.
Carer's Week
We celebrated Carer's Week at 7:00am on 16th June, so that we could involve both the day and night staff. They all work extremely hard and are an absolute credit to the home; they deliver a high standard of person-centred care to those we support.
The Carers enjoyed the early morning chocolate treats from Barchester's senior team.
